Faced with the struggling economic outlook and a lack of identity, a group of Braselton business owners and Town of Braselton engaged MDA in February, 2011 to perform Planning and Administrative Services for the creation of a small Public-Private Partnership, the Braselton Community Improvement District. MDA, strategized and established the CID Boundary, helped draft the vision of the initiative and key documentation that lead to the “Town of Braselton Community Improvements District Act” H.B. 315. We then helped establish the mechanism for the CID Board of Directors; assisted in the self-taxation vehicle; helped facilitate the CID Improvements, Conceptual Design Studies, Preliminary Opinions of Probable Costs and Project Phasing. The unifying centerpiece of the CID was the Braselton Life Path and MDA was further engaged to perform GIS Base Data assimilation, Land Surveying, Land Planning/Site/Civil Engineering, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, GDOT Permitting, Bid Phase Management and Construction Administration. The Life Path was completed in November, 2014.
